After two whole days, Ray finally saw the massage in his system.

Since level 8 was where missions were first had to be done, all of them were easy tasks, like defeating someone in a simulation of his system or satisfying his kink a set of times, yet he had done all of them prior.
After his ascension, the wording had changed too.
First a list of changes came to him:

Achievements, missions, coins, and weekly missions returned.

"Oh, I didn’t pay any attention to any of those." The price of increasing one point with coins was impossible even in his previous life. Weekly missions and normal missions were useless too most of the time.
New ability: Will of blood
Its effect was rather simple; he could give the blood outside of his blood zone some of his thoughts as a command. "This is the most useful ability of all time..." Ray looked at the crafting station; if he had this ability, he could have made the station with one-tenth of the work.

Browsing through the so-called shop Ray was even more disappointed; there were a few useful tools, but their prices were billions of coins, and the cheap ones were all weaker than what he had already owned.
"A super broken ability and some stat boost, more than enough..." Romurs said that after reaching level 10 and becoming an immortal, their power would take a drastic boost.

Summoning the cape, a long dark cape came to being on his being; it had the symbol of a snake in a circle eating itself, with the rest just normal.

Ray read the description again; he was sure that it was not a mistake. "Luck is truly on my side." With his fighting style the chances of him not getting hurt were so low; he didn’t think it would have stopped the damage on his body but just taken half of it to itself and refilled his magic.
A blood knife cut through his hand; the cape didn’t do anything to it, but he could feel magic being injected into his body. The best thing was it was both pure magic and blood magic.
"Even now with level 9, that amount of pure magic can’t do anything; it’s better to stay passive for now." Ray checked his options again; if he upgraded his abilities, the only way to kill him was in a very long fight where he ran out of magic or a very single powerful strike.
He went through his system as a whole.

There also was a new spot on his radar, with the mission on Cindi; if he worked perfectly, he might have a chance with her, yet she didn’t seem the type to open up her legs so easily.
"It didn’t have a timer too, so there is as much time as I want..."
Going through his inventory, he only had near 100,000 dark crystals; for his full abilities and level, he needed around four million dark crystals, and the chance of losing progress was there too now with the new missions.
At first Ray wanted to take control of farms from the underworld, yet that would have caused so much more trouble, and the places where one could make a farm for crystals were so little deep under the ground that a weak enemy even could hurt it.
The king of silence had the most farms, with each one giving a thousand base crystals in a week; he had made quite a fortune for himself.
How they worked was simple: in those places the magic of earth was more focused, and with enough magic feeding into them, they would have given heartstones back. Ray didn’t know the exact rules on them, but none of them existed on the surface; all were deep within the ground.
It’s time to enter the fight with the military personally. Ray stood up from the floor; he let the cape stay on, shining its demonic aura. "Time for very peaceful negotiations."
